It is one of the most traditional, well-known products of Crete, along with olive oil. Oranges were never missing from the table of every family on the island either as a fruit or processed as a dessert.
The peculiarity of the microclimate of Crete, the fertile soil, the high temperature and the sea, make the Cretan oranges not only juicy, but also rich in nutrients, such as vitamins C, A, potassium, calcium and phosphorus.
In our fields, in the area of Skine, oranges have been cultivated for many generations. We learned to listen to the soil and trust the natural moisture of the area, that is ideal for fruit growth, which gives us consistently sweet, juicy and full of aromas oranges.
Our production, thanks to the 3 different varieties that we cultivate, extends throughout the year: from December to March we produce oranges of the Merlin variety, throughout the spring until October the Valencia variety and finally, from November to January the New Hall variety.
